PROSERIES™ MS25LM Sealant
Selleys PROSERIES MS 25LM is a one-part, moisture curing, neutral, low modulus (LM) expansion joint and general-purpose sealant based on isocyanate free, modern MS polymers.

|
Uses
Excellent non-slumping properties and primerless adhesion to building substrates, makes it an ideal choice for use both in expansion joints (+/- 25% movement) and for general sealing.
Adheres well to common building materials such as concrete, masonry, brick, ceramic tile, metals, soft wood, hardwood and plastics. Complies with ISO 11600/F/25LM is E2/AS1 compliant AND BRANZ Appraised in New Zealand.
Suitable for all types of weather-seals: e.g. around window and door frames; joints in prefabricated buildings; expansion joints. |

Technical Features
- Low modulus (easy to stretch)
- Ideal for expansion joints and general sealing
- Permanently elastic over a wide range of temperatures
- High movement capability - +/- 25% joint movement [Complies ISO11600/F/25LM]
- Can be painted with water-based paints after a sufficiently firm skin has formed. (Alkyd and drying oil based paints will not dry acceptably if applied to the sealant at any time). For oil based paints undercoat with waterbased paints first.
- UV Resistant
- Isocyanate free
- Easy to tool and finish
- E2/AS1 compliant (New Zealand)
- Thixotropic (Non Slumping)
- Excellent resistance to aging and weathering
- No shrinkage during curing
- Neutral cure - (will not affect zinc or copper containing metals)

Application Tips
- For best performance, install backing rod (polyethylene or polyurethane foam rod) in joint to control sealant depth and ensure free stretching of the sealant across the joint. Use masking as required.
- Substrates must be clean, dry and free from oil, grease, release agents, dust and loose material. If necessary clean with white spirit of mineral turps and allow to dry.
- Cut top off cartridge nipple, screw on nozzle and cut at 45° angle to desired width
- Apply using caulking gun, extruding sealant into the joint such that it makes full contact with the sides of the joint. Avoid overlapping applications of sealant to so as to avoid entrapment of air.
- Smooth sealant before skin forms, with a spatula while forcing the sealant into the joint for better contact with the sides of the substrate
- Remove excess, masking and clean tools before sealant skins
